The Wisenet XNP-6550RH 55x IR PTZ dome camera has been selected as a finalist of the Video Surveillance Hardware category in the Benchmark Innovation Awards 2019.
The Benchmark Innovation Awards recognise and reward innovations which deliver real benefits to installers, integrators and end users. They are run by Benchmark Magazine, the monthly publication which is widely regarded as the “Which” magazine for the electronic security industry.
A Benchmark test team and an independent panel from the security industry will judge products and solutions across nine technology areas, with the winners announced in the September 2019 edition of Benchmark Magazine.
With a 55x optical zoom, a Gyro sensor for accurate stabilisation in windy conditions, optical ‘Defog’ and built-in IR LEDs to capture high definition images at night at a distance of up to 500 metres, the Wisenet XNP-6550RH can surely lay claims to have set a new standard for PTZ cameras designed for perimeter protection and large open area applications.
The optical Defog feature built into the Wisenet XNP-6550RH is particularly impressive. Unique to Hanwha Techwin, Defog involves the use of an optical low pass filter which is able to accept a higher light range in front of the camera’s image sensor in order to reduce the influence of fog.
