Gallivare experiences ‘midnight sun’ for a significant period of summer, but due to its proximity to the Arctic Circle to the south sees some glimpses of daylight even during winter solstice. As a result of the ‘midnight sun’, Gallivare gets roughly 1 hour of daylight in the height of winter.
The footage below is taken from the Gallivare project. With temperatures hitting minus 18°c, our recently added Wisenet P camera, the PNM-9020V, continuously films good quality footage during low-light and freezing conditions without fail.
