Ecohitech-Award-2019-350x98

Wisenet cameras manufactured by Hanwha Techwin have contributed to the Municipality of Bologna  being given a special mention at the recent Ecohitech Awards.

The various winners of the Ecohitech Awards were announced at the LUMI Expo 2019 conference and exhibition which took place on 21-22 November and was dedicated to technologies and solutions that  improve human life in smart spaces, smart buildings and smart cities.
At the Awards, which are intended to give recognition to the most ‘smart’ municipalities in Italy, the Municipality of Bologna was identified as an excellent example of intelligent city management for its urban monitoring and traffic management system.

The system consists of cameras dedicated to vehicle counting and classification, and ANPR cameras which have been installed on strategic gates. The cameras monitor both directions of travel to allow local authorities to study the most important and strategic vehicle access flows to the city.
