Module Me is a systems integrator that specialises in providing automation and security solutions to high-end clients, such as hotels and luxury private homes, across the French Riviera and the Alps. With a reputation for quality, Module Me strives to deliver the integration of the best available products combined with impeccable professional service.
With support from ITESA, one of France’s leading distributors of electronic security products, Module Me chose video surveillance products from Hanwha Techwin to help them ensure the safety of a VIP client and his family, whose villa is located on the French Riviera between St Tropez and Ramatuelle.
The client’s villa is on a 2-hectare site which is patrolled by a team of security guards. With burglaries being a regular occurrence in what is a very affluent part of France, the client wished to complement the activities of security guards by deploying a perimeter protection system that could be integrated with video surveillance cameras to provide maximum 24/7 protection. The client was not prepared to compromise on the quality of the products installed, which was a key factor in Module Me and ITESA’s decision to recommended Wisenet cameras manufactured by Hanwha Techwin, for the project.
The cameras installed include the following:
- 4 Wisenet XNO-6120R/FNP cameras incorporating ANPR vehicle number plate recognition technology which is being used to allow vehicles on the client’s whitelist, to have automatic access through gates at the villa’s entrance.
- A Wisenet PTZ XNP-6550RH dome camera which with 55x optical zoom, a Gyro sensor for accurate stabilisation in windy conditions, optical ‘Defog’ and built-in IR LEDs, is able to capture high definition images at night at a distance of up to 500 metres.
- 3 Wisenet 5-megapixel XNO-8080R and 3 vandal-resistant 2-megapixel XNV-6080R bullet cameras, which collectively are being used to monitor the entrances to the villa and a guest house.
- A 4 channel multi-sensor Wisenet PNM-9084RQZ camera, which can cover multiple angles at the same time and as such, detect and track objects over wide open areas.
In order to blend with the landscape, all the cameras have been modified and camouflaged. This attention to detail was greatly appreciated by the client, as was the fact that the modifications did not affect Hanwha Techwin’s warranty terms and conditions.
Live images captured by the cameras are being monitored around the clock by the villa’s security team with the help of Wisenet video management software, which also enables them to quickly search for recorded video of any suspicious activity. The client can also at any time use a Wisenet Mobile App on any smart device to keep an eye on his property and retrieve recorded video of any incidents, no matter where he may be in the world.
The client has expressed his complete satisfaction with the video surveillance system. In addition to the quality of the images captured by the cameras, he has also been impressed with how easy and quick it is to use the video management software to share video evidence and ANPR data captured by the cameras with the local gendarmerie, to help them control crime in the villa’s surrounding area. The client’s security team have been equally impressed with how the system is helping them maintain strict control over who can access the site, as have been the gendarmerie who have visited the villa’s control room and put the video management software through its paces.
One year after the project’s completion, the client is now discussing with Module Me how the video surveillance system can be expanded with additional Wisenet cameras to further enhance the safety of his family and protection of his property.
